The Catherine Ferguson Academy, a Detroit High School, is one of 4 High Schools in the US designated exclusively to high school mothers. Each year nearly 400,000 babies are born to young women aged 15 to 19 years. For many of those young mothers finishing high school is not an option, let alone getting a college education. Jenna Bush Hager reports on one principal who is trying to change that.
I am so impressed by the numbers of teenage moms graduating and going on to college, as well as by the additional help and guidance they receive regarding their children at the Catherine Ferguson Academy, I will be donating a percentage of all products sold on my site.
